Frequently asked questions

How do I fill a PDF form online?

Upload an AcroForm PDF, complete the detected fields in the form panel, choose editable or flattened output, and download the result.

Can I add text to a PDF without form fields?

Yes. Select Text, enter the content, and click the preview to place it on the current page.

Can I draw my signature?

Not in the current browser-only editor. It currently supports typed visual signatures and initials.

Can I upload a signature image?

Not in the current browser-only editor. Image-signature upload is not currently exposed.

Is a typed signature a digital signature?

No. It is a visual mark, not a certificate-based digital signature, identity check, or audit trail.

Can I add initials and dates?

Yes. Typed initials and today's local date can be placed on any page.

Can I fill checkboxes and radio buttons?

AcroForm checkboxes, radio groups, dropdowns, list boxes, single-line text, and multiline text are supported when the PDF exposes them normally.

Can I keep form fields editable?

Yes. Choose Keep form fields editable before downloading.

What does flattening a PDF form mean?

Flattening turns supported form appearances into page content and removes those interactive fields. It is not cryptographic certification.

Will editing invalidate existing digital signatures?

It may. The editor displays this warning because modifying signed PDF bytes commonly invalidates an existing certificate signature.

Can I fill a password-protected PDF?

Not directly. The local save library does not decrypt protected PDFs; use Unlock PDF first where you are authorized to do so.

Are my PDFs or signatures uploaded?

No. The active fill-and-sign workflow loads, edits, and exports the PDF in your browser.

Does the tool work on mobile?

The responsive interface supports touch placement, though a larger screen is easier for precise positioning.

What are XFA forms?

XFA is a different, often dynamic form technology. This editor supports AcroForms, not XFA-only forms.

Is there a file-size limit?

Yes. PDFs are limited to 100 MB and 500 pages to reduce browser memory failures.
