Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how FiloTool collects, uses and protects information when you visit filotool.com or use its PDF, image and file-processing tools.
By using FiloTool, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Files You Process
Many FiloTool features process files directly inside your browser. When browser-based processing is used, the selected files remain on your device and are not intentionally uploaded to FiloTool servers.
Some tools may require server-side processing to provide the requested functionality. When this occurs, files are used only to complete the requested operation and should not be retained longer than reasonably necessary.
You should avoid uploading files that contain confidential, sensitive or legally restricted information unless you are authorized to process them.
3. Information We May Collect
FiloTool may collect limited technical and usage information, including:
- Browser type and device type.
- Operating system.
- Approximate country or region.
- Pages visited and tools used.
- Referral source.
- IP address and basic diagnostic information.
- Error, performance and security logs.
If you contact us, we may also receive your email address and any information included in your message.
4. How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
- Operate and maintain FiloTool.
- Improve tools, usability and performance.
- Understand how visitors use the website.
- Detect errors, abuse, fraud and security threats.
- Respond to support requests and feedback.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
Strictly necessary browser storage may be used to operate requested features and protect the service. Optional analytics, advertising and personalization storage will be controlled by the applicable consent choices before those technologies are activated.
FiloTool does not currently load advertising scripts. The noindex blog administration tool uses local storage to retain an editor draft on that device. You can also control or delete browser storage through your browser settings.
6. Google Analytics
FiloTool may use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and usage. Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, device details, approximate location and interaction data.
Google Analytics is not currently installed. If it is enabled in the future, it will be treated as optional analytics and delayed until permitted where consent is required.
7. Advertising
FiloTool may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense or other advertising partners. Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure and personalize ads, depending on your region and consent choices.
After advertising is approved and enabled, Google's certified consent management platform may present regulation-specific choices. FiloTool will not create its own IAB consent string or claim that its internal script controls are a certified consent interface.
8. Third-Party Services
FiloTool may rely on third-party providers for hosting, analytics, security, advertising and website functionality. These providers may process limited information under their own privacy policies.
FiloTool is not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites linked from this site.
9. Data Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for website operation, analytics, security, support and legal obligations.
Messages sent to us may be retained while needed to respond, maintain support records or resolve disputes.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no website, network or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to the processing of your personal information.
A persistent Privacy choices control appears in the footer. Once the certified consent service is configured, that control will reopen the official message so an eligible visitor can change or revoke a previous choice.
You may contact us to ask a privacy-related question or request assistance regarding information you have provided directly.
12. Children's Privacy
FiloTool is not intentionally directed toward young children, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us.
13. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when our tools, services or legal obligations change. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page.
