PDF only

Your PDF is processed securely and removed after processing.

Authorised password removal, not password recovery

Use this page only for a document you own or are permitted to modify. Entering the correct open password lets the browser read the pages; there is no password-recovery or password-cracking function.

Important output limitation

The resulting PDF is a visual copy made from JPEG page renders at 1.5× scale and 85% JPEG quality. Searchable text, hyperlinks, forms, annotations, layers, attachments, accessibility structure, and digital signatures are not carried into the new file. Do not use this workflow when those features must survive.

Steps

  1. Add one protected PDF.
  2. Enter its current open password.
  3. Unlock, then inspect every page of the downloaded copy.

Good fits

Making a readable sharing copy, printing pages from a document you can open, or preparing a visual copy for redaction when text preservation is not required.

Troubleshooting

Large or graphics-heavy PDFs may consume significant memory because pages are rendered one by one. Try a desktop browser, close other tabs, and confirm the password in the original PDF viewer.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the current PDF password?

Yes. This tool does not crack, guess, or bypass a password. You must know the current password and have permission to remove the protection.

What does the unlocked download preserve?

It preserves the visible appearance by rendering each page. It does not preserve selectable text, links, form controls, annotations, layers, attachments, or existing digital signatures.

Why is the output image-based?

The current implementation opens the protected PDF with the supplied password, renders each page, and builds a new PDF from JPEG page images. This removes encryption but also flattens document features.

Are the PDF and password sent anywhere?

No. The active workflow reads the PDF, applies the password, renders pages, and creates the download in your browser.

Why does the password fail?

Check capitalization and keyboard layout. The file may use a different open password, be damaged, or use an encryption variant the browser PDF library cannot read.
