Why is the PNG much larger than HEIC?

Photographs compress efficiently in HEIC, while PNG’s lossless compression is usually less compact for photo content.

Does conversion preserve HEIC metadata?

No. The current local pixel pipeline does not safely transfer HEIC metadata.

Can I convert multiple HEIC files to PNG?

Yes. Convert up to 30 files in one batch, subject to the per-file and 300 MB total browser safety limits.

Are HEIC files uploaded during conversion?
